Drawing upon Sacred Scripture and the Church’s rich tradition, we will explore the qualities of Mary our Mother which make her a model for developing a contemplative prayer life and an evangelistic spirit to enable us to participate more fully in the building up of God’s Kingdom.

Jan Tate has been a certified spiritual director serving on the staff of the Archdiocesan Spirituality Center for over 25 years.  With her husband Lloyd, they have prepared couples for marriage in the Catholic Church for over 46 years and co-authored the In Home Marriage Preparation manual used in many dioceses in the Church.  Jan has presented women’s retreats and men’s retreats for many years.  Lloyd and Jan have been married for over 51 years and have 5 grown children and 18 grandchildren.
