Ignatian Imaginative Prayer
Pam and Mark will guide participants to utilize Ignatian contemplation in their prayer lives. St. Ignatius Loyola asserts that God wants us to use all of our capabilities to communicate with Him: our senses, our memory, our intellect, our imagination, our entire will. Over the course of the day, we will explore how to intimately encounter Jesus in Scripture through imaginative prayer.Presenters: Pam and Mark Truxillo are native New Orleanians, lifetime Catholics, married 52 years. They have 3 adult children and 7 grand-children. After a 17 year assignment in Houston, they now reside in Metairie and are parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena. Pam has a 30-year career in education as well as being certified as a spiritual director through the Archdiocesan Spirituality Center. She is a presenter at faculty retreats and numerous Days of Reflection. Mark retired after 35 years as a geophysicist in the oil industry. He has attended Manresa for over 40 years and has prayed the 19th Annotation Spiritual Exercises. He serves on the Advisory Boards of both The Cenacle on the Lake and Manresa House of Retreats. Both Pam and Mark are active in parish ministries such as ACTS, Alpha, Prison Ministry, as well as many other ministries.
