Theme: Letting Go and Letting God
This theme is about giving God control of our lives instead of taking control ourselves. This Day of Prayer will cover what it means to trust God, how to surrender more fully, and the way hope sustains us in the process. we will be guided by references from scripture, (including examples from Jesus' life), the catechism, and the wisdom of the saints.

Alexa Schexnaildre is a Catholic speaker and blogger who was born and raised in the New Orleans area. She's a cradle Catholic who attended Mass and Catholic schools her whole life, but felt unprepared to suffer when her life took an unexpected turn over 20 years abo with a serious chronic illness that she still battles today. This caused her to dive much deeper into her Catholic faith, which has been the only thing to sustain her during those incredible trials. She writes a blog (www.forthegreaterpurpose.blog) sharing the spiritual lessons she is learning during long-term suffering including the joy and freedom that comes from Christ. Alexa speaks on a variety of topics at various events, parish missions, and retreats. It is her greatest joy to share the hope and the real life applications of the faith with others.
