From September of 2009 to May of 2010 he did tertianship (the final part of Jesuit training) in Dublin, Ireland. After tertianship he oversaw the total renovation of St. Charles College in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. The College housed the Jesuit Novitiate, the Jesuit Spirituality Center, and a retirement center for elder Jesuits. During this time on July 29, 2012 he pronounced his final vows as a Jesuit.
From 2013-2016 he was president of the Good Shepherd School in New Orleans, after which he did a sabbatical year studying Spanish in Puerto Rico and assisting at Colegio San Ignacio during the 2016-17 school year.
